The formula

Three collagens. Three amounts. No blend.

Every 2 g scoop of Collagen+ contains 1,200 mg of hydrolyzed type I bovine collagen, 700 mg of hydrolyzed type II marine collagen and 10 mg of undenatured type II collagen (UC-II®). Each amount is on the label—no "collagen complex" total hiding the split.

That's the whole formula, plus a little silicon dioxide so the powder pours freely. No flavouring.

Hydrolyzed and undenaturedHydrolyzed collagen is broken down into small peptides, so it dissolves easily into food. UC-II® is the opposite: undenatured type II collagen, kept in its native form and used in a small daily amount.

Non-medicinal: silicon dioxide.

Why these three

Three sources, each named and measured.

Hydrolyzed · Type I

Bovine collagen

1,200 mgper scoop

Type I collagen from beef, hydrolyzed into peptides. Type I is the most abundant collagen in the body, found in skin, tendons and connective tissue.

Hydrolyzed · Type II

Marine collagen

700 mgper scoop

Collagen sourced from fish and hydrolyzed so it mixes easily into food—the formula's second collagen source.

Undenatured · Type II

UC-II®

10 mgper scoop

Undenatured type II collagen—the type found in cartilage—kept in its native form and used in a small daily amount.

Together, they are the daily baseline behind Collagen+: support for healthy joints and connective tissue, and a healthy skin and coat, given once a day in the food bowl.

Dosing by weight

The dose fits the dog.

Once daily, using the included 2 g scoop, mixed into wet or dry food. Because the amount scales with weight, one 180 g jar lasts anywhere from 45 to 180 days.

Step 1

Scoop

Use the included scoop and level it off—½ to 2 scoops, by your dog's weight.

Step 2

Mix it in

Stir it into wet or dry food. It's unflavoured, so it disappears into the bowl.

Step 3

Make it daily

Once daily as part of your dog's routine, or as directed by a veterinarian.

Step 4

Store it

Close the lid tightly and keep the jar in a cool, dry place. Use within 90 days of opening.

Cautions

Do not use in immature, pregnant or lactating animals. Do not use in animals receiving other drugs unless directed by a veterinarian. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Do not use if the seal is broken. Contains fish and beef. Keep out of reach of children.

Questions

Before it launches.

When will Collagen+ be available?

It's in development now. This page shows what's coming—the formula, the amounts and the dose—and ordering opens when it launches.

Why three types of collagen?

Each comes from a different source and is processed differently: hydrolyzed bovine type I, hydrolyzed marine type II and undenatured type II (UC-II®). Every amount is on the label, so you can see exactly how much of each your dog gets.

Does it have a flavour?

No. It's an unflavoured powder that mixes into wet or dry food.

Does it contain common allergens?

Yes: it contains fish (marine collagen) and beef (bovine collagen). If your dog has a known sensitivity to either, ask your veterinarian before using it.

Can I give it alongside medication or other supplements?

Not without asking your veterinarian first. Do not use it in animals receiving other drugs unless a veterinarian directs it.

Is it for cats?

No. Collagen+ is made for dogs.
